Church roof, Nov 1969

It was noted that the following Church restoration work still remained to be done:
Work to roof:
Remove slates and battens
Cover with roofing felt
Replace battens and slates
Insulate above ceiling
The Rector suggested that it might be a good thing to get an idea of much the work on the roof would cost.
After discussion, it was decided to leave the matter until the Spring.

In fact it was left much later than that – the church was re-roofed in 2015, and insulation to the ceiling was completed in 2017!
