The Repair and Improvement of the Church: May 1902

The most pressing a portion of this work, viz.: the repair of the roof, is being entered upon – the specifications are out, and tenders are being invited.
Before long a circular will be issued with the names of those who have promised contributions.
It is thought that, perhaps, it may be convenient to those interested, if they are asked to name the whole amount of their promised gift, apportioning the total as they think best to the various sections of the work, such as – external roof, internal roof, windows, and the (ecclesiastically) west front, leaving out for the present the proposed dwarf spire. These sections cannot be undertaken at once, and the portion given to each will not be collected until it is time for the work to be carried out.
We hope that our friends will remember that the total cost of the improvements will be about £900, and it is necessary that intending Subscribers should notify at an early date what they are willing to give, in order that arrangements can made for the commencement of the different sections of work.
