The Organ, October 1972

The Rector reported that due to water, the organ was in need of repair. A quote from Morgan and Smith was for £320 (about £4,300 today).
A leak in the roof had been repaired in August and the organ had still deteriorated when an inspection was made on September 20th.
Discussion ensued has to how water was leaking in.
It was proposed that the roof repairs should be inspected to see if they were satisfactory, and to leave the repair of the organ until the trouble was found.
