Need for church building repairs, 1952

Stuart Billington

The church fabric had had a considerable amount of attention, and £1,200 (about £35,000 today) should be spent on the church in the next year or two. Estimates for the necessary electrical work came to about £200 or £300, and work on the redecoration of porch was to be put in hand shortly.
The organ and church roof needed attention but all this depended on the funds they had in hand.
