Church improvements 1929

Stuart Billington

The Rector referred to the improvement which had been effected at the entrance to the church and expressed the indebtedness of the parish to Alderman Every for his assistance with regard to the new gates. The rev. gentleman next alluded to the need of a new heating apparatus at the Church Room, which, he said, would cost something like £24, and he also pointed out that something more would have to be done in respect of the heating of the church, the cost of which would be between £40 and £50. (about £3,000 today)
