Effect of new heating on organ, Jan 1969

Stuart Billington

There was a problem of the new heating affecting the organ.
The Rector thought this could be overcome by the purchase of plastic bowls which should be kept full of water in the organ loft to humidify the air. Extra tuning was needed during the initial period for the organ to settle down to the changed conditions.

(Extract from PCC Meeting, 28th of January 1969)
