Listed Building status, July 1970

The Rector had received notice that the Church and Church Walls had been listed as buildings of historic interest. The full implications of this would require careful consideration, but it appeared to be to our advantage.

The listing assigned was Grade 2, which is defined as ‘Buildings that are of special interest, warranting every effort to preserve them’.
