Church Room wanted for school classes, 1951

Stuart Billington

At St John’s Parochial Church meeting at the Church Room, Lewes, on Thursday last week, a question regarding the use of the room for educational purposes was referred to the church council. It was stated in a letter from the manager of the room (Mr F W Jones) that he had been approached by the educational authorities about the use of the room for classes to relieve the overcrowding at the Pells Primary School.
