“…a satisfactory year in every way. Membership now stands at 35, and all meetings have been well attended. Two half-day excursions were arranged, to Wakehurst Place and to Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne. Many varied and interesting speakers were welcomed. Holy Communion services on Tuesday afternoons are still much appreciated and well attended. Our annual Bring and Buy Sale in aid of our adopted Leper Boy raised £29.54s from this sum we were able to make a donation of £10 to the Victoria Hospital. A grand total of 818 packets of chocolate and sweets, given by members and friends were sent to Chailey Heritage as our Christmas gift to the children.
