Mr F W Jones (churchwarden) reported a surplus of £151 9s 9d on all accounts last year (about £3,600 today), but this position, although satisfactory, was exceptional in that May and Christmas fairs had produced between them £181 and they could not look for such takings again.
They did, however, propose to revive the annual fete and Mr Jones suggested they might make a special effort and devote any proceeds from it towards helping to purchase accommodation for the curate.
