The Choir in wartime, 1943

Stuart Billington

Mr Moorey was re-elected people’s warden, with hearty thanks for past services.
In accepting office, Mr Moorey thanked all who had helped the church during the past year, and particularly mentioned the senior members of the choir who were in the Services, and who, even when they were at home on only short leave, found time to come and assist them, and that help was greatly appreciated.
He also referred to Mr L S Plummer (the organist) and other members of the choir, who were responsible for the Church music which was so well rendered in spite of prevailing difficulties.
