Sunday School, April 1970

Stuart Billington

The number of children attending Sunday School has now increased to 35. Summer activities included an outing to Southsea for the older members and a tea party for everyone. Before Christmas we held the annual prize-giving service, at which the children were awarded books according to their ages for regular attendance. This was well supported by parents.
Scripture Press teaching materials have been used during the year, and have been the most enjoyed by the children.
On the first Sunday in each month the children attend the service in Church at 11 o’clock instead of meeting in the Hall. Services for special Sundays such as Mothering Sunday, have been well attended by parents and children.
