Reviewing the past year, Mr Moorey said the church officers had managed the services very well in the absence of a rector.
Good work continued to be done in the Sunday School, and he described as “a splendid trend” the children’s practice of contributing towards the church funds.
He said that, had it not been for the generosity of the friends of St John’s, the accounts would not be in such a satisfactory state.
