The Rector, in his report, said that during the year the number of communicants had more than doubled; Evensong attendances were up; the financial position was most encouraging, but none of this should lead to complacency.
“We must go forward,” he said.
“We have got to make contact with every person who lives in this parish. There are 1,400 houses. It would take me three years.
I must have your help. I need twenty four people willing to go out into the parish and make these contacts.”
