In paying tribute to the choir, the Rector alluded to the valuable services of Mr Plummer, the organist, and to the extra duties he performed as a labour of love. Mr Plummer, he added, had kept the music of the church up to the very high standard of excellence to which it had attained in years gone by, in fact all the special preachers who came to the church during Lent and Easter were impressed with it, and one of them said he supposed they had a choir school.
He thanked Mr Plummer and all the choir for the splendid work they had done during the past year.
