Church Choir 1926

Stuart Billington

The Rector, in dealing with the choir, said he was very proud indeed of it. He thought it might safely be said that the music was right up to the standard attained for many years past and they had welcomed some fresh members who were a great acquisition.
He specially alluded to the excellent rendering of the Messiah on the evening of Good Friday , and bore testimony to the good work done in connection with the choir by Miss Parker and Mr LS Plummer.
He added that Mr Plummer had made an excellent successor to Mr Neeves as organist and they felt very grateful to him for working so hard both with the men and boys. He knew that his influence over the boys had been very much to the good.
