Alteration of Services: Sept 1902

The work of the Clergy has hitherto been very unevenly distributed between the several Sundays in the month. The Services on the first and third Sundays have pressed upon them much more heavily than those on the second and fourth Sundays.
In order to make a fairer distribution, the late Celebration will take place in future on the second and fourth, instead of on the first and third Sundays.
It may be thought that it would have been easier to change the Children’s Services, but this would involve an alteration in the time for Baptisms, and it would be very difficult to give any effectual notice with regard to this.
