The treat given to the Sunday School Teachers, Children and their friends by Miss Lambe in the Corn Exchange on January 15, was a marked success.
Some 30 adults were first regaled at an excellent tea, and then about 200 children were admitted to the Hall to do their part.
The good behaviour of the children was the subject of much comment, and the comparisons made between past and present were all in favour of the latter.
