Tree removal in progress, 2016

Stuart Billington

This tree had grown too close to the church building, and posed two risks:
1. Root damage to the foundations
2. Clay shrinkage beneath the foundations, caused by the tree roots drawing moisture from the soil
The structural engineer recommended removal of this tree, and this was endorsed by the Tree Officer at Lewes District Council. The work was carried out by RW Green.
