District visitors 1943

The Rector appealed for more help, and mentioned that although 250 houses had been added to the parish in the Landport Estate, they had only one district visitor for that locality, with one assistant. He added “I find it so difficult to get the ladies of the Wallands to offer their services as district visitors”.
