Finding a grave in the churchyard

Stuart Billington

If you are looking for a grave in the churchyard, you may find this helpful. The plans are fairly approximate, but at least they should help you to look in roughly the right area.

With thanks to Elizabeth Rodger for compiling the alphabetical lists from original research by Chris Swarbrooke, and for creating the graveyard plans.

Find the name you are looking for in one of the four alphabetical lists of names below (you may need to click the Download files to open them).
Section 1: Adams to Crofts
Section 2: Cronroos to King
Section 3: King to Stephens
Section 4: Stephenson to Wymm

Note the grave number in the 4th column.
The ‘Other information’ column refers to Memorials etc. inside the church – contact admin@stjohnsubcastro-history.org if you would like further information.

Look for the grave number on the two graveyard plans. One plan is South of the main path, the other plan is North of it.

Good luck!
